Enjoy the fun that comes with taxiing and improved short-field performance. The term “taildragger” is firmly rooted in aviation folklore and is affectionately used to describe airplanes with a tailwheel. Although a minor difference to most aircraft flown at our flying school, there are huge differences in the way the aircraft handles - particularly during takeoff, landing, and taxiing. Flying a tail-dragger is both exciting and rewarding and will improve your overall flying skills. Course Overview The Tail Dragger conversion is a short course that comprises 8 hours flying plus 3 hours ground tuition. The course can be flown in your own aircraft or our Piper Super Cub or Jodel.
