Now you have your Private Licence, why not spread your wings? A conversion from the training aircraft you learnt to fly, to a complex single is a relatively straight forward exercise and will afford you so much more freedom. Experience the increased performance that comes with a variable pitch propeller and retractable landing gear.

The Course

• Minimum 2 hours ground training

• Aircraft Systems including: Variable Pitch Propellers, Engine Management and Retractable    Undercarriage

• Aircraft Procedures including: Power Settings and Speeds, Flight/ Route/Performance and Descent    Planning

• Minimum 5 flying hours depending on other types flown

• Flight 1: Departure, general handling, simulated go-around at height, steep turns, rejoin, normal    circuits

• Flight 2: Departure, stalls (various) practice forced landing, use of radio navigation equipment and    autopilot, rejoin

• Flight 3: Circuits - normal, flapless, glide and short-field

• Flights 4/5: Cross-country(s) to other airport(s) (suggest London area or Channel Islands/France)    to consolidate main elements of the course
