Fast Track Radio Licence 1 DayThe Great Circles Fast Track VHF Radio Licence (FRTOL) course has been specifically designed to help private pilots achieve the highest standards of radio communication. Radiotelephony or Communications as it it sometimes referred to, is a fundamental, but necessary part of any pilots training. A pilot should always aspire to be as good as possible when using the radio. You've heard of the saying 'you never get a second chance to make a first impression'. If you press the button and sound like a gibbering idiot, sadly, air traffic will assume you are! Your initial call to air traffic control tells them a great deal about your confidence and experience level. Our courses are delivered by dedicated, patient and enthusiastic instructors. The course lasts for one day with the practical test taken at the end. The practical test is a simulation of a flight from one aerodrome to another requiring calls relating to control zone & MATZ transits, emergencies and other general procedures.
