Struggling with Mathematics? ….Many ATPL and PPL students do. Don’t allow this to slow you down and hamper your studies!

The ATPL syllabus assumes that candidates are educated to at least GCSE or an equivalent level. The majority of integrated training providers state that an A-Level qualification in Mathematics is highly desirable, if not mandatory.

Are they just being picky, do you really need an A-Level in Maths to fly a Boeing 737 or an Airbus A320?

The harsh reality is that candidates with this qualification will tend to progress at a much faster rate, saving time and money should exams be failed due to Mathematics.

For example you will be required to understand and perform calculations using the following: Addition & Subtraction of Fractions, Conversion of Units (metric and imperial), Rearrangement of Formulae, Resolve Forces using Trigonometry, Square & Inverse Square Laws, Graph Interpolation and Extrapolation. This list is by no means exhaustive. The ATPL exams can be very unforgiving to those that are simply ‘not up to the required standard’. Our brand new 2 day course is specifically designed to target the key areas of the ATPL syllabus that require an in-depth understanding of Mathematics.

We recognise that many ATPL theory students are not 18 years of age with the relevant A-Levels in their back pocket; indeed, it may have been many years since you were last involved in any serious academic study. For this reason, great care has been taken to design a course that begins with the fundamentals and further progresses to enable you to tackle the more demanding questions.

Whilst we don’t claim to take you from little knowledge to graduate level in only 2 days, we can provide you with a solid foundation of the basics and cover EXACTLY what is required in the ATPL syllabus to get you through. The majority of examples used are past examination questions, thereby enhancing the learning process.

You will be taught by qualified Mathematics Teachers and Commercial Pilots, all with many years experience in their respective fields of expertise.

A good understanding of the Mathematics involved in arriving at a particular solution to a problem not only enhances your understanding, it makes it far more enjoyable.

Don’t be left behind and waste time and money, join us for a couple of days and take your exams with confidence!

We look forward to teaching you soon...
