The Great Circles Fast Track Radio Licence (FRTOL) course has been carefully designed to ensure that our students get the most out of their time spent with us.
The course is delivered by high quality interactive presentations, enhancing the learning process. You will be provided with a colour work manual which replicates the presentations, this is specifically designed to eliminate the need for you to have to take comprehensive notes whilst the instructor is delivering the course. We find that this way you can focus on what the instructor is saying instead of having to write everything.
Our courses are delivered by dedicated, patient and enthusiastic instructors. The course lasts for one day with the written exam and practical test taken at the end. The Communications written exam paper consists of 30 multiple choice questions which have to be answered within 40 minutes requiring a pass mark of 75%. The practical test is a simulation of a flight from one aerodrome to another requiring calls relating to control zone & MATZ transits, emergencies general procedures.
