Part of the Keynotes Series
This book presents mathematics and physics in a build-up approach from basic concepts used in everyday life to the use of mathematics and physics for the solution of aviation-related concepts and problems. The JAR Flight Crew Licensing requirements state that before being admitted to a modular theoretical knowledge course and applicant shall have a sufficient knowledge of mathematics and physics to facilitate an understanding of the content of the course. Written to inspire confidence and capability for pilot training Course from Private to Airline Transport Pilot the appendices are structured according to the JAR-FCL syllabus for the ATPL. Each appendix explores the maths and physics associated with the JAR-FCL subjects studied at ATPL level offering a collection of the types of problems and their solution in a concise style. Reference to the appendices may be made as you encounter these subjects at any licence level. Any difficulty in solving these problems may be resolved by cross-referencing to the earlier parts of the book which deal with the basic mathematics and physics in a build-up approach.
